Our origins
Where we began
The Deli Box Co. originated from a mobile catering company by our founder, Ellie.
Ellie followed her desire to encourage healthier options at county shows and outdoor family events – where until 2019 the market was dominated by greasy burger vans! Blossoming to, graduating from The Institute of Health Sciences, as a nutrition and lifestyle coach, she found a need to educate about food processes and the benefits of buying closer to home.
During the 2020 global pandemic, when fruit and vegetable imports were limited, and with people needing to stay at home – we saw a need for a new way to support our community. With our expertise and connections we began sourcing local seasonal produce and delivering it direct to the customer – The Deli Box Co. was born.
As life ‘started to get back to normal’ people began to celebrate again! We used our knowledge of local produce and artistic flair to create delivery platters and grazing tables, for customers to enjoy their celebrations without the stress of accommodating food – leave that one to us!

We are the only grazing company in the Isle of Axholme & surrounding areas, and pride ourselves for being local market leaders with innovative and creative ideas with food.
A company committed to supporting local farmers and their produce, and to highlight that supermarket giants are no longer needed for those that want the most out of their food, after all ‘we are what we eat’. The Deli Box Co. uses local butchers, bakers, homemade chutneys, jams and much more!
We hope that this bespoke service can encourage you to prioritise the important things – send a doorstep platter that says ‘ i miss you’ or spend more time talking to your loved ones whilst we set up a breathtaking display of food.

We rely on English farmers more, for local seasonal produce. This supports our local economy and the food in your platters or on your party table, spends less time in transit, increasing its nutritional content and reducing its carbon footprint.
You’ll find your boxes come with a lot less packaging than buying from the supermarket. We pack our produce loose wherever possible, and although we’re doing well, this is something we’re constantly working on.
